Small bug, big difference.

On a phone, the main blog card suddenly looked like an unstyled document from the nineties. One overlooked link state was to blame.

The new blog page fitted a small screen well, but the card text inherited the browser's default blue color and underline. The structure was correct, yet the visual result undermined the entire design.

FIXED STATE / MOBILE

White text, a calm hierarchy.

The whole card keeps a consistent appearance regardless of whether its link has already been visited.

What was fixed

The card now explicitly sets its text color, removes the default underline and defines a separate visited-link style. I also added a subtle hover state that strengthens the border without shifting the layout.

An interface does not end with its first render. Visited links, focus, touch and narrow screens need to be designed too.

Why write about it

This is a good example of a fix that takes only a few declarations in code but changes everything on screen. Modern design is the sum of such details, particularly on mobile devices, where mistakes have less room to hide.

The fix is already public, and the card now keeps the same typography and contrast on phones and computers.
